BLACK OWLS formed in 2006 in Ohio and quickly grew their indy rock fan base playing festivals and stages across the US and Canada.Their compelling, original sound combined with artistic stage sets and videos revive the “arena rock” ideal with “intimate stage” personality. Drawing on influences ranging from the Rolling Stones and the Who, to the Clash, Talking Heads, Mott the Hoople and Led Zeppelin, Black Owls have crafted a distinctly modern sound with a nod to the past. In their 12 years of rock, they’ve shared spotlights with Flaming Lips, Spoon, Roky Erickson, Dinosaur Jr., Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, DEVO, and many more. Limiting their touring and recording schedules in 2015, the Black Owls are back in their full line-up to bring more recordings and shows to life.
